Come join us for a season of learning the foundations of Hand Sewing! In this 14-week class, students will be introduced to essential hand sewing skills through approachable, purposeful, and beautiful projects that build confidence stitch by stitch.

This Waldorf inspired class emphasizes patience, care, and the development of practical handwork skills. Hand sewing supports fine motor development, focus, perseverance, and the quiet satisfaction that comes from creating something useful and meaningful with one’s hands.

At this age, students are ready to follow sequential steps, build skill over time, and take pride in careful craftsmanship. This class provides a structured, supportive environment where they will learn foundational stitches and complete a variety of thoughtfully designed projects.

Each week includes:

Opening circle time

Step-by-step hand sewing instruction

Practice of foundational stitches (running stitch, whip stitch, backstitch, and more)

Guided sewing projects that build skills over time

Time to share and celebrate their work

Supplies:
All materials are provided and included in the cost of the class.

Schedule:
Time: Thursdays from 3:30–4:30pm
Dates: Begins September 10th and ends on December 17th (full calendar to come)
Location: Grow Creative Studio inside the Historic Sacred Heart Building in East Hill

Please note: Refunds are available up to one month before the start date. After that, only partial refunds can be offered due to materials being purchased. Enrollment is a commitment to the full session, and payments are expected even if a student withdraws.
