OUR APPROACH
Making Things Matters
Children are growing up in a world that moves quickly, offers answers instantly, and increasingly asks them to consume rather than create.
At Grow Creative, we make room for something different.
Here, children work with their hands. They encounter real materials, learn from skilled makers, practice patience, solve problems, make mistakes, and discover what they are capable of creating.
We also believe learning becomes richer when subjects aren't kept neatly apart. Art connects to history. Wool leads us to animals, land, and traditional ways of living. Woodworking can lead us into the forests. Music opens a door into another time and place.
We aren't interested only in what a child makes. We're interested in what grows in them while they make it.
OUR HOME
Rooted in Pensacola
Grow Creative is tucked inside the Historic Sacred Heart Building in East Hill, where our little studio has become a gathering place for children, families, artists, makers, and homeschoolers from across the Pensacola area.
Our classes and workshops are led by local artists, craftspeople, musicians, educators, and makers who bring what they know to the table and pass it along.
Because we believe some things are still best learned this way:
Person to person. Hand to hand. Generation to generation.
