Have you ever wanted to learn the timeless craft of whittling?

Join us for a morning of slow, satisfying work as we learn the foundations of whittling by creating a simple wooden bird from a single piece of wood. Guided by local craftsman Pete Davidson, this beginner-friendly workshop is designed to introduce students to safe knife handling, basic techniques, and the quiet joy of working with natural materials.

Whittling is a practice of patience and attention. With each careful cut, you'll begin to understand the grain of the wood, develop confidence with your tools, and discover the satisfaction of transforming a simple block of wood into something beautiful by hand.

No previous experience is necessary. Pete will guide the class step-by-step, making this an approachable introduction for complete beginners.

Location: Grow Creative Studio inside the Historic Sacred Heart Building in East Hill, Pensacola. **If the weather is beautiful, we will gather at Bayview park. Look for the email before class to confirm!

This workshop is designed for adults and older teens (14+) who are comfortable using a carving knife. Teens under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Because this workshop uses sharp carving tools, participants should be prepared to follow all safety instructions.
