Embossed Brass Ornaments: A Holiday Slow Craft Workshop

Join us for a cozy December evening of slow making as we learn the traditional art of metal embossing with Ashley Camp. Using thin sheets of brass and simple hand tools, you'll learn to press, draw, and texture designs into the metal to create beautiful handmade ornaments for your tree or to give as gifts.
Inspired by traditional repoussé and metalworking techniques, this beginner-friendly workshop is an invitation to slow down during the holiday season and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something by hand. Ashley will guide you through the process of transferring and creating designs, embossing and adding texture, and finishing your pieces for hanging.
No previous experience is necessary, and there will be plenty of room to experiment with your own patterns and designs.
In this workshop you'll learn:
- The basics of embossing thin brass
- How to create raised designs, lines, and textures using simple hand tools
- Techniques for developing your own ornament designs
- How to finish your ornaments for hanging and gifting
What's Included
All materials and tools are provided. Each participant will leave with their own collection of 2-3 handmade brass ornaments ready to hang on the tree or tuck into a special gift.

This workshop is designed for adults and beginners are warmly welcome. Ages 12+ are invited if accompanied by a ticket holding adult.
