Come join us for a deepening in our handwork practice! In this 14-week class, young makers will build essential fine motor skills through foundational handwork practices and beginner-friendly creative projects, all in a nurturing, age-appropriate way.

Rooted in Charlotte Mason and inspired by Waldorf methods, this class is designed to honor the natural creativity and growing abilities of young children. Through storytelling, seasonal projects, and simple rhythms, your child will strengthen their hands, build focus, and develop a deep appreciation for working with natural materials.

At this age, children are developing the self-regulation needed for more sustained tasks, and this class provides the perfect opportunity to gently stretch those skills. The work we do here not only supports future handwriting and math readiness but also provides calming, structured engagement that’s especially beneficial for sensory-seeking children.

Each week includes:

• Circle time

• Step-by-step guidance through our projects which will focus on using several handwork skills to create handmade puppets and toys. 

• Handwork practices that grow patience and dexterity

• Seasonal crafts and stories

• Celebrating and sharing our work

Time: Thursdays 10-11:30am

Dates: 14 weeks - begins January 15, 2026 and ends on May 7th (No class on 2/5, 3/19, 4/9)

Location : East Hill

This is a drop off class.

** Please note that refunds can be given up until one week before the start date and then there is a partial refund policy because of supplies purchased. Please plan with intention! You are committing to the FULL 14 weeks and will need to honor payments if you decide to no longer participate in the class.
